1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Code42 ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Service Description

Code42 is an online learning platform that provides access to web-development courses and related content, including lessons and quizzes covering HTML, CSS, JavaScript, frontend, and full-stack development. The Service is delivered in your browser.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree not to share your account with others.

4. Course Access and Activation Keys

• Access to a course is unlocked by redeeming an activation key on your account page at /account/redeem
• Activation keys are sold separately; there is no checkout, subscription, or pricing on this Service
• Each activation key is single-use and may be redeemed only once across the platform
• Once redeemed, course access is tied to your account and is personal to you
• We reserve the right to modify or update course content with reasonable notice

5. Intellectual Property

• All course content, lessons, quizzes, text, code samples, and other materials made available through the Service are owned by Code42 or its licensors
• Upon redeeming a valid activation key, you are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access and view the relevant course content for your own learning
• You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, resell, or create derivative works from the course content without our prior written permission
• Code42 retains ownership of the Service and all related intellectual property rights at all times

6. Prohibited Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Share, sell, transfer, or otherwise distribute activation keys or account credentials
• Scrape, download in bulk, copy, or redistribute course content outside the Service
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with access controls or other security or usage limits of the Service
• Engage in any activity that disrupts, overburdens, or impairs the Service or interferes with other users
• Upload or transmit content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or that infringes the rights of others
• Use the Service in any way that violates any applicable laws or regulations

Violation of these prohibited use policies may result in immediate account termination without refund. We reserve the right to report violations to the appropriate authorities.

7. Activation Keys and Refunds

7.1 Activation Keys

• Activation keys are purchased through external sales channels, not through this Service
• Course access is granted only after a valid, unused key is redeemed on your account
• We are not responsible for keys obtained from unauthorized resellers, and such keys may be invalid

7.2 Refund Policy

Because activation keys are sold through external channels, any refund requests are subject to the policy of the seller from whom you purchased the key. Once a key has been redeemed and course access has been granted, that access is generally non-refundable. Accidental duplicate or unauthorized charges should be raised with the seller and may be addressed following investigation.

7.4 How to Contact Us About Access

If you experience problems redeeming a key or accessing a course, please contact us at support@code42.cc with:

• Your account email address
• The activation key or course in question
• A description of the issue you are experiencing

8. Privacy and Data

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which governs how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Service.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high service availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to factors beyond our control.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Code42 and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues. The Service and course content are provided on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
